I was invited by Storo to lead the creative direction of a unique short climate communication film, which was due to open up a pivotal conference run by Chapter Zero. The exclusive event was focused on new insights around climate risk within the field of Actuaries with 60+ non-exec’s invited to the Frameless Gallery in London - an immersive video mapping space - with our film played across their panoramic room.
Following this screening, the film was then used to officially close the stock markets at LSEG, again bringing the climate agenda directly to the minds of the cities key financial decision-makers.

Ultimately, our key focus for this project was to motivate non-executive directors to lead on climate from the boardroom. Recognising the emotional power of a live immersive screening, we wanted to create a balance between sensory evocation and authentic narrative building in order to drive personal connection to the storytelling whilst grounding key points in truth and reasoning as we knew this would resonate deeply with our audience.
We had a short period of time to evoke a strong enough reaction from the audience to create real world implications, and so we made sure to focus on creating effective awareness of the subject matter, and equipping the audience with the ability to imagine immediate opportunities.
CONCEPT
My vision was to create a push and pull throughout the film, driving the narrative intensity in various opposing directions to demonstrate the idea that critical decisions happening today will set the course of travel for our industries and broader society for generations to come.
To further enhance this perspective, we introduced two conceptual ‘voices’, one of which represented the internal reflections of emerging business leaders who were questioning the implications of their role within the sector, and contemplating how their future may look based on the actions of their business. Our audience were therefore able to view the topic through the eyes of a younger generation, igniting introspection about their own legacies.
